Want to build and code real robots for a living? GIM Robotics offers a unique opportunity for people who are not only interested in making software that runs somewhere in a cloud but are also excited to see big machines being moved by the software.
At GIM Robotics you would work as a robotics engineer for our customer projects where we help our customers to build intelligent and autonomous machines. Your main tasks are related to robotics software development, including navigation, state handling, control and optimization. The cases vary from small proof of concepts to complete system deliveries in various industries and environments. At the heart of every application is our software suite based on a strong academic background in the field of autonomous navigation and robotics.
As a robotics engineer, we hope you are a proficient developer (preferably with experience in C++), you have a good understanding of software algorithms and you have a sufficient mathematical background. You are capable of independent work and able to design architecture as well as implementation. You would work with a small project team or as a part of the client's team. Support is available from a network of experts throughout the company, some with 20+ years of domain knowledge.
As a startup company, we value a spontaneous attitude and the courage to identify areas for improvement. Good collaboration skills are a must, since an open and plentiful communication is the foundation of our working culture and competence.
For you to be successful in your work at GIM Robotics, we hope you have:
- University level (B.Sc. or higher) degree from a relevant field, for example, robotics, automation engineering, computer science, physics, or similar.
- At least mid-level experience with C++ or Python
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Capability for independent work both in software design and implementation
- Passion for software development and autonomous mobile robots in general
We consider as a plus if you have some experience in the following areas
- Fluency in ROS or ROS2
- Experience in robotics algorithms (SLAM, path planning, Perception, state control)
- Strong mathematical background
- Understanding of robotics hardware
- Experience with agile methodologies and development tools
- Experience from software development as part of a team
What we could possibly offer you as a GIMster
- A versatile work with exciting projects around cutting edge technology
- A relaxed and tightly knit working environment
- Flexibility in your tools and working style
- Opportunity to grow with the company
- Possibility to specialize and educate around a topic of your liking
NOTICE: When applying, please attach to your CV and possibly a cover letter with a salary request!

The application process in short
Open applications are constantly screened. If we have a need that meets your qualifications the process is as follows:
Candidates who meet the qualifications are invited to a coding test (duration 60 minutes and can be done at any time from home within the time limit). After the coding test, we would invite you to a video interview with our HR department and then with a Project Manager or Team Leader.
We invite top candidates to a second interview with our CTO and other Project Managers or future squad members. This can be arranged at the office or remotely. Then we should have it in the bag!
